You can best reach Ipswich by way of Boston’s Logan Airport. Also, Manchester NH has an airport about 75 mins.away. Check rates on both. A rental car is suggested should you want to see the area while you are here. The Doubletree Hotel no longer has a shuttle to Logan Airport. Covid caused it to close. So sorry.

There are many B&B’s in the area and several in Ipswich should you like to take advantage of staying in a colonial New England town. We have 55 First Period houses that you can see easily on a walk. The town was incorporated in 1634.

Upon entering the farm, stay to the right at the fork and follow signs to the Farm Offices. Continue to the back-right of the property, where you will end at a historic white house, with a sign for the Farm Offices. Park in the guest parking lot outside the house or along the road where signs are posted. We hope you enjoy our special day!

Large hotel at the intersection of Rt. 95 and Rt. 1. About 25 minutes from the Farm. Only a small block of rooms held. Has a shuttle from the airport to the Peabody Logan express station that will take you from there to the hotel. The shuttle runs hourly from Logan to Peabody. It costs $12 and will get you closer to the area where you need to be allowing your ride to avoid a trip all the way to the airport.

A wonderful tavern and restaurant a bit of a drive from town, although you could walk it if you stay in town! It has been a tavern since 1640!! Crane Beach and Castle Hill

About a 5 mile drive from town, down Argilla Road, where the Warner family lived for 40 years, is the most beautiful beach around. 6 miles of beach that belonged to the Crane family from Chicago. Think plumbing! The family summer home sits atop a hill overlooking the beach. The grounds of the Great House are worth a visit as is the house itself. The beach is a wonderful place to walk. There is a fee to enter.

The Historic Walk through Ipswich Starting at the Visitor Center Hall Haskell House

There are 75 first period houses in Ipswich, most along High Street, East Street and North Main Street. It’s a lovely walk and most of the houses have plaques designating the approximate date it was built and the original owner’s name. The Hall Haskell House Visitor’s Center has maps that will guide your walk and give you some information on the history of the town, incorporated in 1634. The Whipple House and The Heard House are museums and have visiting schedules. All located on the walk.
