The Topstone Chalet features a stunning Carriage House that provides a combination of event space and private guest quarters for your wedding weekend. The Carriage House has all of the modern amenities of comfort (heat/air conditioning, plumbing, wood burning fireplace, modern kitchen, laundry room) paired with the traditional old-world architecture of an early 1900s carriage barn. The four sets of carriage doors are fully-functional, so you can enjoy the property views and the indoor/outdoor vibe even on a rainy day. The Carriage House features 12 foot high ceilings and crisp white walls/trim and rustic wood flooring, a stunning backdrop for your wedding photos. The upper story features 3 queen size bedrooms with two bathrooms for your wedding weekend stay (for up to 6 guests). The original, vintage barn is also available as an additional rental space, and has been used for small ceremonies, cocktail hour, and bar service location. The Main House is private, but the 1914 French Normandy-style manor house provides a beautiful backdrop to your outdoor photos with unique architecture and dramatic arches and columns.
The property boasts gorgeous mature trees, a 100 year old hydrangea tree, endless stone walls, and a vast open front yard perfect for a tent or an al fresco wedding ceremony or reception dinner party. Host your outdoor wedding ceremony among the blossoming flower trees and then open the doors to the carriage house for a free-flowing reception. Place your reception tent right outside the carriage house and dance the night away with your closest family and friends by your side. Fire pit options are also available, please inquire. The Main Level of the Carriage House features 3 large event spaces for your use during your wedding event. All four carriage doors are fully-functional and can be opened in the event of beautiful weather. Opening the front carriage doors allows guests to roam freely in/out of the Carriage House, enjoying the property. In one of the main floor spaces, we feature a pool table (can be removed with notice for a fee) and a large wood-burning fireplace.
The upper story of the Carriage House features 3 Queen size beds and 1.5 bathrooms completely outfitted with luxury furnishings, linens, and towels. With 2 Master Suites on either either end, and an open concept Queen Bedroom with high ceilings and windowed cupola, you'll have plenty of storage with 2 walk-in closets with ELFA closet systems for clothing storage, and a wood-burning fireplace in one of the Master Suites. Lower level features a beautiful, high-end, modern kitchen, fully-equipped for your weekend stay. There is also a large laundry room (Asko Washer/Dryer) fully-equipped with iron/ironing board, and laundry detergent. The entire Carriage House also is equipped with heating and air conditioning.
The property also features a charming Original 1914 carriage barn, which can be an add-on rental for a small ceremony or cocktail/bar service area (see photos).
Venue Rental Policies
- Event End Time: 11 pm
- Smoking Policy: No smoking.
- Open Flame Policy: Wedding torches authorized upon request.
- Pet Policy: Dogs or cats of the wedding couple only.
- Decorations: no tape, staples or other adhesives to be used on the inside/outside of any structures
- Fireworks: Fireworks not permitted.
- Trash and Recycling: Food caterer to remove ALL trash & recycling OR can make arrangements for small dumpster for fee.
- Parking: No parking allowed on road or on the cul-de-sac across the street due to town ordinance. All guests must park in a designated off-site location and use a shuttle for property access.
- Noise: No amplified music or noise after 10:30pm
- Venue Access: Guests will not have access to the Main House (private residence).
- Day of Coordinator: Day of Coordinator required to manage the event on-site for the entire event duration.
