The Setting

Just before the bridge, in Bourne, MA, sits the Overbrook House, built in the 1920's a traditional New England design featuring sprawling lawns and the ultimate privacy of traditional Cape Pitch Pines and Oak trees. 22 acres of surrounding woods, and a neighboring organic farm. Looking for local flowers and produce, the farm can deliver them to the house for use over the weekend. Complete with an 8 bedroom home for up to 18 guests, you can choose from multiple ceremony locations, while enjoying plenty of room for an outdoor tented reception, and an indoor barn for smaller receptions.

Included with the venue is a two-night stay in the on-site 8 bedroom house with pool, use of the grounds, and access to the barn. Looking for additional accommodations? Ask about renting the neighboring lodge or cottage for your closest family and friends and enjoy an entire weekend away embodying relaxed New England Charm.

Policies

Mayflower Venues and the host have set some rules that you will be asked to agree to upon booking.

Venue Rental Policies

  • Event End Time: 10 pm
  • Smoking Policy: No smoking indoors. Smoking outdoors in designated areas only.
  • Open Flame Policy: No open flames, limited to fire pit provided.
  • Pet Policy: Permitted.
  • Fireworks: Not permitted.
  • Trash and Recycling: Couples must bag and move to on-site trash and recycling receptacles.
  • Vehicle Access: No parking or driving on lawns to include golf carts. Golf cart use limited to road use only. Bus turn around space is limited. Guest drop-off location at bottom of driveway.

Town Ordinances:
Amplified music must end by 10:00pm.

General Rental Policies

  • Insurance: Renters must secure a minimum $1M Special Event Liability Insurance liability policy from an approved vendor, or obtained through Mayflower Venues directly within 30 days of their event.
  • Security Deposit: In case of damages, Mayflower requires a $1,000 security deposit before any event.
  • Alcohol: Compliance with all local laws regarding alcohol service is required. At a minimum, bartenders must be certified and insured. Licensing must be in accordance with state laws.
  • Caterers: All caterers must be licensed and insured. Outside caterers permitted unless otherwise noted.
  • Vendors: All selected vendors must be certified, licensed and insured, and provide supporting documentation.
  • Trash and Recycling: Renters are responsible for cleaning and returning the venue to its original condition. This includes consolidation and disposal of all waste and recycling in accordance with venue rules, including food and alcohol waste, floral, decor, and signage. Renters must also remove any large temporary structures brought onto the property for their event. Failure to do so, may result in a security deposit deduction.
  • Restrooms: Couples must rent a minimum of 1 restroom per 100 guests.
  • Tents: Outdoor venues require tent reservations to ensure adequate rain plan.
