This Privacy Policy (or “Policy”) describes how Mayflower Weddings, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Mayflower”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you. This Policy applies to information we collect when you use our website and related services (the “Site” or "Services"). This Privacy Policy, together with the Terms of Service, governs your access to or use of this Site. By accessing or using this Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

    • To allow you to participate in interactive features on our Site.

    • For any other purpose with your consent.

      We may use the information we have collected from you to enable us to display advertisements to our advertisers’ target audiences. Please be aware that if you click on or otherwise interact with an advertisement, the advertiser may assume that you meet its target criteria. Please note that any interactions you have with advertisers’ websites or other third-party services are subject to the data collection policies that those services have in place.

    If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), Mayflower legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

    Mayflower may process your Personal Data because:

    • We need to perform a contract with you
    • You have given us permission to do so
    • The processing is in our legitimate interests and it's not overridden by your rights
    • For payment processing purposes
    • To comply with the law


    Retention of Data

    Mayflower will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

    Business Transaction

    If Mayflower is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

  4. Disclosure of Your Information

    We may disclose aggregated information about our users, meaning information that has been combined so that it no longer identifies any individual, for any business purpose, including analyzing usage trends and seeking compatible advertisers and partners.

    We also may disclose the following information for the following purposes:

    Mayflower Staff and Contractors: Members of the Mayflower staff, and any third parties that Mayflower engages to work on their behalf, may use this information as is needed to operate the Site and any related business services.

    Venue Rentals: In order to facilitate venue rentals on the platform, Mayflower may disclose information about Renting Couples or Owners (as those terms are defined in the Mayflower Terms of Service) to other prospective Renting Couples or Owners. Mayflower may also disclose information to third-party services assisting in the wedding event, including vendors and wedding service professionals, as is needed for them to provide services to Renting Couples and/or Owners.

    Third-Party Service Providers: Mayflower may work with various third-party service providers to operate the Site, such as content delivery networks, servers, content management systems, and payment processors, among others. Mayflower will disclose information to those third-party service providers as is needed for them to provide services to Mayflower and the Site.

    Business Transfer: To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Mayflower’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which user information held by Mayflower about our Site users is among the assets transferred.

    To Third Parties for Marketing Purposes: Mayflower reserves the right to share information about you to third party marketers so that they may directly inform you about products or services which may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to share your information with such third parties, you may opt-out of our doing so by sending us an email at policy@mayflowervenues.com with a request to cease receipt of some or all future marketing communications. Please be advised that it may take a few business days to process any such request and render your opt-out effective.

    Legal Compliance and Enforcement: We may share information if we believe it is necessary in order to comply with any court order, subpoena, or other legal process, including an order to respond to any government or regulatory request, or if we believe such disclosure is necessary to enforce or apply our Terms of Service and other agreements, or if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mayflower, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

    Mayflower uses reasonable administrative, physical, and electronic security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of your information. That said, no transmission or storage of data over the Internet is guaranteed to be completely secure. Neither Mayflower nor its service providers can ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us over the Internet. Any such transmission or storage is at your own risk.

    This Privacy Policy is subject to change at any given time. The effective date of the latest version of the Policy will be posted at the top of the page where it is hosted. Use of the information we collect is subject to the Policy in effect at the time such information is used. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for updates, and you must stop using the Site if you do not agree to the current effective Policy.
